I also have over 600 CDs and over 300 VCDs and over 100 VCDs. That's why I love my iPod. All songs are stored in iPod. For VCDs and DVDs, I put them in folders, rather then keeping the cases.
ruth tam, I really don't want to digitalize all CD, VCD, DVD and put them in Computer, iPod etc. It is too "cool" and lacking of "sence of human feeling", I quite enjoy selecting CD, VCD, DVD from the cabinets and you can be watching the photo's or scripts from the ablums while you are enjoying the movie or music! That's why I still like to buy DVD.
