Here in Canada, it has become a festival for the kids (usually 4-12 yrs old). They will all dress up and go "trick or treat" knocking on doors and asking for candies or whatever treats. It's almost like a neighbourhood party (with the parents being towed along). 我同意楼上Oscar解釋:因為中國人對鬼神之說好忌諱.
