Mr Fresh, welcome to the I-Hate-Cold-Weather club! A few years ago, I was in London in Oct for 2 weeks and it was way too cold for me (no snow yet). I bet you will never complain about cold weather in HK again :-)
exile from HK, Yes, you are right! I have become the member of "I hate Cold Weather Club". I am still in Newcastle now and it is snowing and pretty cold. The sun would "disappear" suddenly in about 16:30. Then, almost all the shops would be closed and we can go no where to play except BAR and PUB. I hate that. It is not the living that I perfer. I think i would not be able to live in this "style" for a long time as it is too bored. Anyway, it is fine to have a white X'mas but not for long term living.
ruth, Now, I am the member of "I-Hate-Cold-Weather club" and do not wait to live in a place that is covered with snow all the time. Though, I enjoy the silence but I hate the boring lving style here. (Newcastle) =(

I am in Edmonton and the whole city is covered with snow from October to April. It's around -20 this week.
Just think everything comes with a price. Life style here is very good.
